Buyers of the new EV9 can choose from several means of motivation. A single electric motor driving the rear wheels, makes 215 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque powering the EV9 Light. The EV9 Light Long Range will see a slight trade-off in power for longer range. We're talking 201 horsepower but 300 miles of range thanks to a larger battery.

The dual-motor version EV9 Wind and EV9 Land includes all-wheel drive with a motor on each axle. Power checks in at 379 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. Finally, our EV9 GT-Line features a 99.8 kWh lithium-ion high-voltage battery, and delivers 379-horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque.

Regenerative braking and one-pedal driving are on-board with all EV9s. By lifting off the accelerator, drivers can slow down and reclaim energy, sending it back to the battery.

A futuristic panoramic screen is at the forefront of the Kia EV9's interior. It's more than just a pair of 12.3-inch display screens mounted side-by-side. The display is designed to operate Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriuxXM, Navigation and the EV9's climate controls.

Seating is well suited to adults from the first row to the way back, thanks to the EV9's long wheelbase. The seats are SynTex synthetic hides that are "vegan" rather than animal-based. You need to sit in them to believe them.
